Vega Sicilia "Unico" Gran reserva 1979.

A rare and mature bottle of Unico Gran Reserva from Bodegas Vega Sicilia from the 1979 vintage - arguably one of the greatest and most expensive Spanish fine wines from the Ribera del Duero DO.

Vega Sicilia only release a "Unico" in excellent vintages, for instance there were no releases in 1977 and 1978 and if produced is usually very limited to typically far less than 50,000 bottles made.
This rare bottle is available in retail for over 500£.

The condition is excellent, with the exception of the label that is quite frail with lots of tears - however vintage and all other details are all well recognisable.
Otherwise the fill level is very good and the capsule is intact with only light superficial patina.
