An extremely rare and impressive large format 6L Imperial bottle of Ch. Canon Gaffeliere from the outstanding 1990 vintage, including the original wooden box!
Large format bottles are perfect for extended aging due to slower rate of maturation in a larger sized bottle - and this one is certainly 'larger ' at the equivalent of 8 (!) standard size bottles.
Canon la Gaffeliere is one of the top wines from the St Emillion AOC and a Grand Cru Classee B in the classification of St.Emillion wines - with only few wines classified above it.
Additionally, 1990 was an outstanding vintage in Bordeaux, allowing for a lot of power and additional aging potential.
The bottle in in excellent condition - the label is in pristine condition, the fill level is excellent, the wax capsule is overall intact (see images).
