Expert tasting note: "Very deep to opaque ruby-red color. The nose has a medium to full intensity, but the dark-fruit is quite closed - tobacco-leaf, tar & mint aromas showing instead. The palate is powerful & deep with redcurrant fruit overlaid by notes of raisins & chocolate. Acidity is balanced allowing the red fruit to overlay the fine, firm structure on the finish. Alcohol is balanced & the wine's harmonious finish lasts very well."
