Two half bottles of the 2005 Dönnhoff Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel.

A captivating nose of minerals, wax, lanolin and melted candle wax. The palate is different to the nose: much more fruit-driven with apple, white peach, orange zest with good acidity. Almost viscous in texture, but all the time with exquisite balance and poise with good weight on the finish. (NM)
