‘ Côte du Py is situated on a plateau on top of a hill and its soil is not granite but schist. It produces wines which combine controlled power and minerality in an original way, and the overall effect is of intensity and elegance. One of the top wines we tasted from the brilliant 2016 Beaujolais vintage.’
