Although 1964 was a truly marvellous vintage for much of Europe, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Italy all produced some outstanding wines with most regions offering options for drinking now.
The history of the winery is a century long and, from generation to generation, tells of a strong will and happy intuitions, two requirements that have given our wines the opportunity to express all the greatness of mountain viticulture.
The origins of the company date back to 1897, when Nino Negri, a native of Aprica, decided to start the wine business in Chiuro. Since then, the winery has been able to interpret the evolution of its territory of belonging, becoming a winemaking reality able to reconcile respect for tradition with the ability to renew itself to enhance the great wines of Valtellina.
