For auction is a new and excellent condition high-end decanter from world renowned 11th generation Austrian glass manufacturers Riedel (founded in 1756).
Their iconic handblown glass decanters are among the most beautiful, artisanal paraphernalia to decant fine wines with.
The decanter is from my huge personal collection or fine wine glassware and paraphernalia that is being reorganised.
This is the model 'Duck ' which is, you guessed it, inspired by the shape of a duck.
The capacity is more than a standard size bottle and given at 900ccm in the offical tech specs (however it could fit even more if maximum surface exposure is not a priority).
The Riedel hallmark is etched into the crystal glass at the lower end of the decanter and at the right angle it is magnified through the glass.
The decanter is entirely handmade and mouthblown in Austria from crystal glass.
It is new and unused.
Interestigly this beautiful model is no longer regularly available and leading retailer give a lead time of 16 weeks (!) to have it made-to-order by Riedel at a price of ca.450£.
The reserve is at 230£.
