The 2004 vintage had a very well balanced weather pattern and, according to Tua Rita, this created a wine characterised by sweet fruit and smooth tannins with good acidity and substantial structure . I have to agree! With the 2004, Redigaffi has taken a big step forward in quality. There s more lightness, fragrance and transparency on the nose, with beautiful dark fruits such as blackberry and black plums. It becomes more fragrant with time, displaying wildflower, lilac and lavender scents. There s a lovely lingering finish and the tannins feel elongated, savoury and very refined. A beautifully balanced wine.

This 100% Merlot s top-notch performance starts off with a beautiful, saturated ruby red colour and continues with soft, well-defined aromas of sweet milk chocolate, clove, ground cinnamon and forest berries. Secondary aromas are of vanilla, licorice and toast; the wine is amazingly lively in the mouth with voluptuous, liquid chocolate-like flavors and an extra-long finish. *Cellar Selection* (4/2007)

Saturated deep ruby. Intense aromas of blueberry, licorice, and espresso, complicated by stone and smoky black pepper nuances. Stylish and suave on entry, then elegant and powerful in the middle palate, offering complex pepper, mineral and mocha flavors. Very ripe, highly concentrated, creamy wine yet quite firm, and tannic on the finish. (ID) (9/2006)
