A bottle of a top Chateauneuf from the excellent 2000 vintage. This wine is fully mature and drinks brilliantly now (and for another few years).
95 points Decanter (AJ), May 2016:
“This wine has, remarkably enough, retained wild flower and lavender notes with a falling honeyed sweetness, too. On the palate, it has better volume and force than La Nerthe, with lower acidity and richer tannins. This is a very complete wine at present, with notes of thyme and meaty umami framing the refined, stony fruits.“
Bottle is in pristine conditions (level in neck) has been stored in a temperature-controlled cellar.
