Description

Listing for a great condition bottle from Vosne Romanee. One of the most famous Pinot Noir-growing regions in the Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanée (and neighbouring Flagey-Echezeaux) is home to 15 Premier Cru vineyards and 6 Grand Cru vineyard. There is no vineyard name on the label but it might be a nice surprise if the cork is marked. After a warm start to the summer in 1957, August and September were cool and rainy. The resulting wines were tight with pronounced acidity, which needed time to soften. It's this acidic backbone which has kept them alive to this day.
