Description

The Ardbeg whisky 1965 with a limited bottling of 261 bottles in existence was an exciting Ardbeg release.

The rarest ever release from Ardbeg its the product of the two oldest casks at the distillery.

The Ardbeg 1965 has no label but has the worlds first use of sophisticated authentication technology using encoded microparticles to ensure there can be no forged bottles.
Comes with its own museum case, miniature bottle, and branded boxes.

Tasting Notes for Ardbeg 1965:
ABV: 42.1%, non chill-filtered
Colour: Rich amber gold

Aroma: Initial wafts of sea spray give way to a mix of luscious summer fruits (Blackberries and blueberries) enveloped in ripe peaches. Beneath the mouth watering fruit, nutty chocolate and vanilla notes emerge. The senses are latterly aware of sweet smokiness, coal tar and gentle peat oils...
Taste: The mouth-feel is warming with a tingly effect. The favour is initially of a salty sea breeze with fish smoked over an open heather and peat fire...
Finish: The long finish lingers with peat smoke and blackcurrant, with hints of dark chocolate, dried fruit and traces of sea salt.
