A very rare opportunity to secure two Barsac from the great 1959 vintage

"A great vintage. Monumental Sauternes following a long hot summer with some rain just before the harvest to flesh out the heat-concentrated grapes, retaining their high sugar content".
Bottled by The Army and Navy Stores this pair each have excellent levels.
One bottle lacks most of its label but what does remain confirms it as a twin of the other whose label although a bit battered and dusty is perfectly legible. The photos tell the story.
The corks are firm and the capsules largely intact.
All in all this pair have weathered the intervening 57 years very well.
