Description

A fine bottle of this rare white from Chateau Margaux.

It has a good and complete label, a level at Base of Neck and a good embossed capsule.

Unlike "Pavillon Rouge", this white is not in any sense a "second wine".

White wine has always been produced at Margaux, indeed, it was only in the late 18thc that white grapes were not flung in with the red, but obviously things are a bit different now. This white (Bordeaux Blanc AC) is from 100% Sauvignon Blanc in a 10 hectare corner of the 80 hectares under vines that is prone to frost damage to red vines but not the Sauvignon.
