Description

Filhot, a 50 hectare estate, one of the largest in the Sauiternais is planted with 60% Semillon, 35% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Muscadelle. A very old established property which Thomas Jefferson in his notes considered one of the finest Sauternes. From 1920 to 1935 Bernard de Lur Saluces of Yquem used it as his summer residence, it being a family property at the time. Since 1974 it is run by the owner Henri de Vaucelles.

The 1985 was collected grape by grape lasting until November 23rd and was that day enriched by an early frost.

This bottle has a good level at "base of neck", a good clean and complete label and embossed capsule with no traces of any seepage.
