Description

2 of Austria's premier dessert wines from one of the excellent vintages of the last century, both very well looked after and in excellent condition.

Ruster Ausbruch 1989 Chardonnay is made in a sauternes style from Botyritis affected grapes and apparently is one of the oldest wines to be made in this way. Either way, it is both unusual to find in the uk and in great nick.

Bouvier Trockenbeerenauslese (easy for you to say!) is another very high end dessert wine, made with grapes that are virtually raisins when picked, leading to a very intense, concentrated flavour.

Please see my other auctions for a variety or rare and interesting burgundies, Bordeaux and others. All wines will be sent in polysafe containers via APC couriers. Multiple purchases will of course be consolidated for shipping and charged accordingly. If you would like to use paypal please feel free to do so, their modest charges will be added to the invoice. Overseas buyers should note that it is the quickest, easiest and cheapest way to pay if you do not have a sterling account.
