Robert Parker has not reviewed the 1992 Trimbach Clos Sainte Hune,but his comments on the vineyard are as follows:-
"The Trimbach family turns out what many people consider the greatest expression of dry Riesling in France.It emerges from a tiny 3.06 acre vineyard called Clos Sainte Hune.This vineyard,which is solely owned by the Trimbachs,and therefore not entitled to grand cru status,is situated in the middle of the Rosacker grand cru vineyard.The clay and limestone-based soil produces Rieslings of extraordinary perfume and unbelievable aging potential.I have mixed feelings about extolling such a wine,because it is almost impossible to find it in the marketplace.It is probably best cellared,even in lighter-weight vintages,for it appears to require at least 10 years,before it begins to evolve".
