La Grande Dame is the vintage Champagne from Veuve Cliquot, as with all the champagne houses they only release in the good years and 1996 is famed as being one of the best in the last 50.
Wine Master Rob Campbell gave this wine 95/100 for good reason, it has great structure, medium acidity and a real richness of flavour. Toast, almond butter, lemon and caramel on the palate.
There is an intense finish of hazelnuts and subtle spice.
Bottle only - not being sold with any outer packaging.
