A pristine bottle of this 1st Growth Sauternes from the excellent '99 vintage.


From Stephen Tanzer: Medium yellow. Reticent nose hints at fruit salad, pineapple liqueur, nutmeg and resiny oak. Pure, sharply delineated flavours brightened by strong acidity. Not especially large-scaled but plenty ripe and sweet and displaying excellent cut. I like the balance here. Finishes with impressive persistence. 89-92 points
