Louis Michel's Montee de Tonnerre is the most prestigious Premier Cru Chablis,and generally more expensive than the other Premier Crus:-

"Those who favour stainless steel want the purest flavour of Chablis,with the firm streak of acidity and the mineral quality that the French describe as "gout de pierre a fusil",or gunflint.Louis Michel's is generally considered to be the epitome of this style".

"In the beginning,quite a neutral Chablis.Had to wait an hour or two before the aromas really appeared.And they were typical for a Michel Montee de Tonnerre;great salinity and minerality and hints of lemon and lychee.No oak,sleek and silky in the mouth,combined with high acidity and good concentration.This wine has many good years ahead of it".
