2010 - 2014 Compare
Yield was less than 17 hl/ha apparently, largely because of mildew. Some vines had 10 bunches and some had none. Six varieties vinified together. Aged on the lees with no stirring. Bottles in March and the malolactic fermentation is suppressed.
Honeyed, charming, floral, dense, vibrant with good acidity. There’s quite a bit of Bourboulenc and Picpoul in the blend. No wood. ‘I’m convinced no wood is needed for white Châteauneuf,’ says Avril.
