Description

One bottle of this leading Barsac, now unobtainable in the UK and a rarity, in decent condition for its age.

Robert Parker describes Coutet as one of the leading estates in Barsac, one of the classics of the region and a model of elegance and balanced sweetness.

The slip label shows that this bottle was bottled by Brown and Pank Ltd, Northampton. Brown and Pank built their warehouse in Northampton in 1877 and it was demolished a century later. At the time of this bottling, it appears that the respected Don Lovell MW was their wine buyer, and by 1968 he was their managing director.
