One bottle of Ch Lafaurie-Peyraguey 1937 1er Grand Cru de Sauternes. Chateau bottled & shipped by Calvet. The ullage is excellent for age (top shoulder). Mature colour. A rare chance to purchase a bottle in such good condition from this great Sauternes vintage.
It was purchased in the 1960s by the consignor's father who stored it in racks in his wine cupboard. It was inherited it on his death in 1976 together with a few other older vintage bottles he had acquired (all now consumed apart from this bottle which was retained because it was the oldest and for sentimental reasons).
