One bottle of this now almost unobtainable wine in good condition.
The Trimbach estate was established in 1626 and is now run by the 12th generation of the family. The jewel in Trimbach's crown is the Clos Ste Hune vineyard, located just outside Hunawihr. This wine, the Riesling Clos Ste Hune, is widely recognised as one of the finest expressions of Alsace Riesling.
This bottle was part of a case bought from the Wine Society many years ago in anticipation of a particular birthday and has been kept well cellared since then. The bottle and label are in good condition as shown. The bottle on sale is that shown in the photographs. The wine looks to be in decent condition.
The most recent global average price Winesearcher have for it is £283 (December 2015). They suggest a drinking window to 2020 and score it at 94 calculated from the following wine critics’ scores:
