Description

A classic example of a Kabinett from one of Germany's finest vineyards, Carl Von Schubert's 'Abtsberg' on the Ruwer estate of Maximin Grunhauser. This small vineyard is steeply sloped and is comprised of Blue Devonian slate. Traditionally the wines from here were reserved for consumption by the Abbot of the Benedictine Monastery in the nearby town of Trier.

2001 is one of Germany's finest recent vintages.
