'Tasted a dozen times. Colour varies from lemon gold to rich warm amber, at least one with a slight brownish sediment; intense bouquet, toasted, creme brulee, vanilla and twist of lemon, peach and orange blossom, ethereal yet sometimes a bit hard; medium-sweet (for Yquem), rich assertive, with crisp acidity giving it a dry finish.' Most recently, a magnum: an amazing colour, bright gold with apple-green rim; bouquet of dried apricots, honey and butterscotch; sweet, not cloying nor overwhelming. Delicious flavour.
