Rain storms and burgundy (and rhone): A story of Favre's birthday in Los Angeles. (N/Naka): This wine is about as perfect as a 21 year old white burgundy can be. Pure and full of energy. The clean abundant fruit flows right down the palate and the chilling acidity creates this tension that keeps the wine knitted and complete. Everything is perfectly in place. Wine is an all timer

Golden. Beautiful salinity aromatics out of the glass with yellow apple and melon notes. More melon, cantaloupe, apple, pear, and some citrus on the palate. Some buttery popcorn, but not offensively so, with some cream and nuttiness. Stoniness, sulphur, and a touch of smoke lingering in the background. Truly gorgeous - would love to find more.

From magnum! A real unicorn wine! Pale yellow/green colour. Dense, full, superb. Clean fresh matchstick nose. With time in the glass the nose exploded. Incredible wine and a real one in a lifetime privilege. Undoubtedly WOTN and probably WOTY for me.

(Roulot Meursault Perrieres) I found just that in a 1996 Roulot Meursault Perrieres. It had a fantastic, fat, buttery nose with great toast to spread it on. The mouthfeel was rich, big and lush, classy yet oily. It had the perfect amount of toast to its palate, putting the wet in the kiss in which it was framed. Decadently drinkable, this was a wine that puts the wow into white Burgundy (95+).
