Description

ORGANOLEPTIC EXAM: it has a straw yellow colour with slight greenish reflections in youth, of good fluidity. The aromas of great personality and finesse, intense and persistent, are broad, ranging from fragrant to fruity, from the herbaceous to the spicy; pineapple, hawthorn, capers, green pepper, star anise and light but pleasant hints of resin can be seen. The taste is dry, quite warm, soft, without this being lacking in acidity, sapid, full-bodied, intense and with remarkable persistence, very fine and harmonious.

GRAPES: Falanghina, Grieco di Castelvenere, “Cerreto”, typical local indigenous clones

VINEYARD OF ORIGIN: directly owned property, 2100/2500 vines per hectare; 15/20 buds per fruit per tree; 4 / 6kg of average grape production per vine; altitude 140/150 m / asl; surface 0.75 ha

TRAINING: hanging curtain

YEAR OF PLANT: 1972

YIELD PER HECTARE: q / Ha

GROUND: HARVEST: second half of September carried out manually

VINIFICATION: immediate separation of the must from the marc by soft pressing and static defecation, must temperature 17/20 ° C; duration of fermentation 16/18 days

MATURATION: cold decanting and decanting, wine stabilization by microfiltration and cold tartaric stabilization

AGING: in bottle

NOTES: wine obtained with organic farming grapes certified by ICEA

The Antica Masseria Venditti has always cultivated its own vines, vinified its own grapes and refined its wines, with love, with passion. The name of the winery derives from the family residence of 1595. Probably built on the foundations of a convent of Benedictine monks dedicated to the production of foodstuffs to supply the abbeys of the territory. The greatest production was reserved for wine, a precious and indispensable good. The grapes are certified organic demonstrating a strong love and respect for the territory. Wines with personality, clear and frank. Surely to be tried by both newcomers and fans who probably already know this important reality.
