St Tamas, 3909 Tokaji is (Késői Szüretelésű) late harvest high quality sweet Hungerian wine from a great producer.
In the mouth bright acidity brings alive flavors of pineapple, orange peel, and pink grapefruit. Beautiful texture.
It is a very elegant companion to desserts. Make sure that the sweetness of the wine is higher than the sweetness of the dessert!
The grape varieties Furmint, Hárslevelü and, to a small extent, Muscat Lunel are used to produce the famous Tokay wines. The "nectar" coming from the grapes of Tokay is mentioned in the national anthem of Hungary.
