Chateau Grand Corbin is a Bordeaux wine ranked as Grand Cru Classe, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru since 2012 following a reconfiguration of the estate in 2010.
In late 2010, Chateau Grand Corbin was purchased by Groupe SMABTP. Following the results of the 2012 Saint Emilion Classification, Chateau Haut Corbin and 3ha of Chateau Le Jurat was merged into Chateau Grand Corbin, which gave the estate an additional 6.4 hectares of vines.
The 28.5ha vineyard is planted to 80% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon and are aged in 50% new oak. The wines are approachable young providing rich and seductive flavours.
70% of production makes it into the first wine with 30% going into the second wine, which is well worth a try, labelled Les Charmes de Grands Corbin.
