Château Canon, originally Clos St-Martin, is a wine from the Saint-Émilion appellation, ranked Premier Grand Cru Classé (B) in the Classification of Saint-Émilion wines since 1969.
The winery is located just southwest of the old town of Saint-Émilion with 90% of its vineyards on the plateau and 10% on the cotes. The 34ha vineyard is planted 70% Merlot to 30% Cabernet Franc.
The wine has been transformed since 2010 and leads the way in the resurgence of terroir driven winemaking in Saint-Émilion.
The second wine labelled Croix Canon consists of up to 30% of the production annually.
